Bridgeport State Champion, Alum D'Andre Hollaway Joins Coaching Ranks at Lewis County

Lewis County announced on its athletics Facebook page that D’Andre Hollaway will join its football staff for the 2026 season.
“We are excited to add D’Andre to the coaching staff this year,” Lewis County head coach Dustin Cogar said in the post. “He will add not only a player’s perspective to our program, but a mindset that is driven by overall team success! I look forward to helping him transition his skills into the coaching arena.”
Hollaway, a 2019 graduate of BHS, was part of the Tribe’s Class AA state championship team in 2015 and also got a ring in baseball in 2019.
His 508 receiving yards as a senior were the most at Bridgeport at that time since 1997.
He was a special honorable mention all-state player, a first-team All-Big 10 wide receiver and a two-time All-Harrison County selection.
The spring of his senior year, he played in the North-South football game and caught a 2-point conversion from former rival and Fairmont Senior quarterback Connor Neal.
Hollaway signed with Alderson Broaddus for football and then attended Fairmont State.
He wasn’t done playing, though, spending four years in the semi-pro ranks and earning All-Star honors twice.
