Bridgeport's Alex Moses Joins Teammate Donovan Williams in Annual North-South Football Classic

Bridgeport’s Alex Moses will join his high school teammate and future Glenville State teammate Donovan Williams as a participant in this weekend’s annual North-South Football Classic.
The Indians’ duo will play for the North Bears and head coach Dustin Cogar, from Lewis County.
Moses ran for 1,160 yards on 79 carries and 22 touchdowns in addition to returning two kicks for touchdowns and intercepting three passes.
Moses was a Class AAA First-Team All-State Selection as a running back and was named the class title game MVP after running for 141 yards with a pair of touchdowns on just seven attempts in the Indians’ 49-7 win against Herbert Hoover.
Williams was a Class AAA First Team All-State selection at linebacker for the state champion Indians and was a force on both sides of the ball and was the team’s primary punt returner.
He finished with 59 tackles, 12.0 for a loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. On offense, he caught 12 passes for 358 yards and four touchdowns and scored two touchdowns on the ground. He averaged 13.5 yards per punt return.
Williams will also leave BHS as the school’s all-time leader in receiving yards with 810 as well as receiving touchdowns with nine.
The 2025 North-South Football Classic will kickoff at noon on Saturday, June 14 at South Charleston High School.
The South Cardinals will be coached by Jason Nichols of Clay County High School.
