City Parks of Clarksburg Scheduled to Host its Initial Collectibles Show Saturday at City Park in Nutter Fort

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on May 07, 2025

The City Parks of Clarksburg is set to host its inaugural Collectible Show this Saturday, May 10, at the Indoor Utility Field at Clarksburg City Park in Nutter Fort. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering a full day of buying, selling, and trading.

With over 30 vendors and collectors already confirmed, attendees can expect a wide variety of items for sale, including comic books, trading cards, collectible toys, and other memorabilia from across the decades.

Clarksburg Parks Superintendent Doug Comer emphasized the team effort behind launching this new event.

“We put on a full-court press to make this event take off,” said Comer. “Mike Fazzini and Joe Marple were instrumental in getting the word out, personally visiting card and comic shops to connect with potential vendors and customers. Since this is our first show, we are focused on making a strong first impression that sets the stage for future events.”

In addition to collectibles, guests can enjoy food and snacks from on-site concessions, along with afternoon food trucks. All attendees will be entered into hourly prize drawings, with chances to win graded cards, autographs, comic books, collectible toys, and even boxes of trading cards.

Comer also noted the event’s long-term potential.

“Fortunately, we have the resources to host an event that can grow. We have the space, and our community has the amenities to support a show of regional scale. While we may not be on the national circuit yet, we are confident the area can sustain and expand an event like this.”

Admission is $5, and kids 12 and under are free. For information, contact City Parks of Clarksburg at (304) 624-1655.
