The all-Big 10 Conference Basketball Teams have been announced by the league coaches and Bridgeport High School has a first and second team selection on both the boys and girls teams.

 

Senior Nick Stalnaker earned first-team honors for the boys, while junior Jack Bifano was named to the second team.

 

For the girls, junior Paige Humble is a first-team selection and freshman Gabby Reep is on the second team.

 

Robert C. Byrd and North Marion swept the boys and girls top honors, respectively. For the Eagles, Bryson Lucas was named the Big 10 Player of the Year, while Bill Bennett was picked as the top coach.

 

The Huskies’ Taylor Buonamici was named the girls Big 10 Player of the Year and Mike Parrish was picked as the league’s top coach.

 

Joining Stalnaker and Lucas on the boys first team are Fairmont Senior’s Jaelin Johnson, North Marion’s Gunner Murphy, Preston’s Nick Smith, Grafton’s Jack Faulkner, Robert C. Byrd’s Khori Miles, Buckhannon-Upshur’s Ryan Hurst, Lincoln’s Zach Snyder, Lewis County’s Kyle Gannon and North Marion’s Praise Chukwodozie.

 

In addition to Bifano, second team boys selections are RCB’s Gavin Kennedy, East Fairmont’s Luke Pollock, Lincoln’s Ryan Leep, Grafton’s Ryan Maier, Philip Barbour’s Jesiah Matlick, Preston’s Jaden Fultz, Elkins’ Blake Harris, Lewis County’s Asa Post and B-U’s Lamar Hunt.

 

Along with Humble and Buonamici, the girls first team selections are Fairmont Senior’s Marley Washenitz, Grafton’s Meredith Maier, Buckhannon-Upshur’s Shelby McDaniels, Lincoln’s Victoria Sturm, Preston’s Michelle Thomas, North Marion’s Karlie Denham, Lewis County’s Emma Cayton, Lincoln’s Allison Rockwell and North Marion’s Katlyn Carson.

 

Joining Reep as second team girls selections are Elkins’ Madison Holland, B-U’s Brooklyn Maxwell, Lincoln’s Brynne Williams, Philip Barbour’s Alyssa Hill, RCB’s Avery Childers, East Fairmont’s Kierra Bartholow, Fairmont Senior’s Rebekah Jenkins, East Fairmont’s Somer Stover, East Fairmont’s Mackenzie Tennant and Preston’s Carsynn Sines.
