Two local golfers, including a member of the Bridgeport High School golf team, have been named to the United States National Development
Program Team West Virginia.

Program Team West Virginia.
BHS standout Audrey Kerr and along with Harrison County and Clarksburg resident Carson Higginbotham were part of the group. The Team West Virginia Committee chose them to be part of four boys and four girls that have earned their way onto the team through outstanding competitive performance.
This marks the first year West Virginia has been involved with the USNDP initiative. West Virginia joined the program this year.
One of the main goals of the U.S. National Development Program is to expand and strengthen the junior golf pipeline by creating critical development, competitive and talent identification opportunities within each state for elite athletes ages 13-18. Part of this goal includes establishing state junior programs across the United States.
Joining Kerr as the three other girls participating are Madilyn Buttrey, Alexis Green, and Chastyn Viars. Joining Higginbotham as the additional boys on the team are Tommy Evans, Isaac Hutchison, and Isaac Hayes.
