WVSSAC Seeks BHS State Title Football Teams to be Part of Recognition of all 1970s Champs on Dec. 6

The West Virginia Secondary Schools Actitives Commission (WVSSAC) is looking to pay tribute to all state high school football champions from the years 1970 to 1979.
The WVSSAC is planning to honor all members, staff, coaches that were part of any of those teams. Bridgeport High School managed to win a pair of state championships during the 1970s. The Indians, playing up a class, were the Class AAA state champions in 1972 and 1979. The late and legendary Coach Wayne "Smiley" Jamison was on the sidelines for both of those wins.
