Tending Community: BFM2 to Host First After Hours Market

By Perris Reed on July 31, 2026 from Tending Community

If you've been wishing the market was open just a little later, we've got some exciting news!

We're trying something new, and I couldn't be more excited to share it. On Friday, August 21, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., we'll be hosting our very first BFM2 After Hours Market at the same location as our Sunday market, 100 Marketplace Avenue in Bridgeport.

One of the things I've heard over and over this season is that people love the market, but sometimes Sundays just don't fit everyone's schedule. So, we're giving an evening market a try! Our hope is that this becomes a monthly event where people can shop local, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy a nice evening.

You'll recognize a lot of the same vendors from our Sunday market, along with a few new ones mixed in. It'll still be the same local market everyone enjoys, just with a little different feel. Think more summer night than Sunday morning. We'll have live music, cornhole, and a Tap Truck, so come hang out for a while, do a little shopping, and enjoy the evening.

Since this is our first After Hours Market, we're keeping things pretty simple and seeing how it goes. We'll learn from this one, make adjustments where we need to, and hopefully continue building on it each month. If you've been to the Sunday market this season, you already know we're always looking for ways to make BFM2 even better.

I also want to thank Charles Pointe and Community Care for working with us to make this happen. We couldn't pull something like this together without community partners who are willing to work alongside us, and I really appreciate their support.

If you're looking for something to do on Friday, August 21, stop by and see what we're putting together. We're excited to try something new and hope you'll join us for our first BFM2 After Hours Market.
