Inaugural City Parks of Clarksburg Fairy Ren Faire is Rescheduled Due to Linger Concerns with Weather

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 24, 2026

The highly anticipated inaugural Fairy Ren Faire, originally scheduled for Saturday, April 25, has been postponed due to lingering weather concerns and unfavorable forecasts.

Event organizers made the decision with both attendee experience and participant safety in mind, emphasizing the importance of delivering a magical and enjoyable first-year event under ideal conditions. The Fairy Ren Faire will now take place on Saturday, May 9.

“We know this was a last-minute decision, but this special event needs to happen under ideal conditions,” said Superintendent Doug Comer. “Fortunately, we have confirmed that almost all vendors and characters agree to move the event to the newer date. It was a hard decision, but the majority decision was to the change of date and we anticipate a better day with the weather.”

With nearly all vendors and character performers confirming their availability for the new date, friends and guests can rest assured that the full vision of the event remains intact. Organizers are committed to creating a vibrant, immersive experience and believe the rescheduled date will provide the beautiful spring setting the event deserves.

“We want our inaugural Fairy Ren Faire to truly shine,” City Parks Office Manager Tessa Fazzini shared. “Moving the date allows us to give the community the best possible experience with great weather, strong participation, and the full charm of what we’ve been planning.”

Additional event details, including entertainment schedules and vendor highlights, will continue to be shared leading up to May 9.
