Bridgeport Cemetery Manager Asking Visitors to Avoid Parking in Wet Areas Due to Landscape Damage

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 26, 2026

MESSAGE FROM THE BRIDGEPORT CEMETERY MANAGER

We kindly ask all visitors to be mindful and respectful of the cemetery grounds, especially during this time of rain and melting snow. The soil is very wet and soft, and driving or parking on the grass can cause deep ruts and muddy areas that damage the landscape.

Our cemetery is a place of remembrance, reflection, and peace. Many families visit to honor their loved ones, and maintaining the beauty and dignity of these grounds is important to everyone.

Please use designated roadways and parking areas to avoid driving or parking on the grass. Your cooperation helps preserve the cemetery and ensures if remains a respectful and welcoming place for all.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us care for this special place.

Editor's Note: The message and photo provided by Cemetery Manager Tricia Bombardiere.
