The Bridgeport Alumni & Friends Foundation, Inc. is requesting nominations for inclusion into the BHS Alumni & Friends Hall of Fame.  The Hall of Fame was started in 2007 to recognize BHS graduates who have made their mark in their professions, through their service, and in their communities.  It also recognizes non-graduates who have donated their time, talent, and/or resources for the betterment of the students of Bridgeport High School.

 

Nomination forms can be found on the www.connect-bridgeport site under the heading “Alumni/Hall of Fame/Nominations” and sent via email to www.bhs1alumni@gmail.com or through the mail to P.O. Box 201, Bridgeport, WV 26330.

 

“Nominations from the community and beyond help us to develop knowledge about deserving individuals,” according to foundation President Chuck Steele.  “We try to make our fall banquet a celebration of school and community – and the recognition of alumni and friends for inclusion into the Hall of Fame is the tie that binds that special weekend together for us.”  

 

Steele also pointed out that nominations are kept from year to year for discussion as only 3-4 persons are honored each year.  The annual Hall of Fame Banquet will be held in October of 2018.
