FROM WVU ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT:

The Beatles hit “I Want to Hold Your Hand” will have special significance when RAIN: A Tribute to the Beatles comes to the WVU Creative Arts Center Feb. 14. The performance, part of The University Arts Series, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of “The Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album. The show is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at the Mountainlair and CAC box offices, online at Ticketmaster.com, and by phone at 304-293-SHOW (7469) and 800-745-3000.

RAIN is “the next best thing to seeing The Beatles,” raves The Associated Press.

The band – Paul Curatolo as Paul, Steve Landes as John, Aaron Chiazza as Ringo and Alastar McNeil as George – performs the full range of The Beatles’ discography live onstage, including the most complex and challenging songs that The Beatles themselves recorded in studio but never performed for an audience. The show is more than just a concert.  It is a multimedia experience with updated sets that include brand-new LED, high-definition screens and content. RAIN will also bring the “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” album to life in its entirety for the first-time on this 2018 tour.

The members of RAIN, together longer than The Beatles, have mastered every song, gesture and nuance of the legendary foursome, delivering a totally live, note-for-note performance that’s as infectious as it is transforming. RAIN will take you back in time to an era where all you needed was love and a little help from your friends with all the songs from “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” along with all the other Beatles favorites such as “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “Hard Day’s Night,” “Let it Be,” “Come Together,” “Hey Jude” and more!
