West Virginia Jazz Society and Mia Margherita Announces Return of Mia Music Series

The West Virginia Jazz Society and Mia Margherita Coal Fired Pizzeria announces the second season of the popular Mia Music Series featuring monthly performances by a diverse lineup of jazz, blues and Americana artists.
 
Three featured performance dates are currently scheduled for the upscale restaurant and lounge, with the first set for Saturday, March 17, when The Funky Fly Project, a heralded jazz and funk quartet from Pittsburgh, appear at 7 p.m.
 
The second offering will be Sunday, April 22, when Marbin, a progressive jazz rock quartet from Chicago will include a stop in Harrison County while on their national tour. 
 
The third show in the series will be Saturday, May 19, when The Cool Cats, the West Virginia Jazz Society’s “house band,” appear for an extended jam session.  The full retinue of players will be announced soon.
 
Each performance will be presented “nightclub style” with a $10 per person cover.  Legal beverages and full-service dinner will be available throughout the show. Seating begins at 6:30 p.m. and is limited to 40 guests each set.  Reservations are highly advised and can be made by calling 304-808-6400.
