PHOTOS: Bridgeport High School Alumni & Friends Foundation Strawberry Sale Pickup

There was plenty of hard work Thursday at the Wayne Jamison Field concession stand as members of the BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation unloaded hundreds of flats of strawberries and placed them in the hands - and in the vehicles - of customers. There were also plenty of smiles all around. The strawberry sale serves as a major fundraiser for the BHS Alumni & Friends Foundation, which provides scholarships to several Bridgeport High School seniors each year. This year, nearly 400 flats of berries were ordered through Goots Produce and arrived this week from the Carolinas for distribution. See a gallery of photos below.
