Frankie's Furry Friends: "Mutt Mondays" Featuring Rex

By Frankie Michelle Dennison on October 16, 2017 from Frankie's Furry Friends via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Editor's Note: The Humane Society of Harrison County, Inc. introduces a new facet to the “Frankie’s Furry Friends” blog. In an effort to introduce adoptable pets to the public, there will be occasional “Feline Fridays” and “Mutt Mondays,” each featuring a different pet available for adoption at the no-kill facility on Saltwell Road. Today’s blog features “Rex,” who is looking for his forever home.

Rex has been with us since May 10 of this year. He gets along great with other dogs. He has gone out on foster trial to two homes and sadly was returned. He was returned simply because he seems to get very protective over his person, so we would like him to be adopted to a family of just one or two people.  He also needs a lot of exercise so a large yard, or a runner, would be a fantastic fit for him. He does not show well in his kennel (protective over his space so barks a lot), but just ask us to take him out before you meet him. Rex loves car rides too! He is an American Bull Terrier Mix and is 18 months old.

Rex is neutered and up to date on vaccines and wormer.  He has a reduced adoption fee so he is $75 to adopt.

And even if not interested in adopting, you should come out and walk Rex - or any of our dogs - on the nice trail we have going up behind our property. Fall makes for gorgeous walking weather.

Please remember, we are open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During the month of October, we will open late on October 17 and 26. We will remain open until 6 p.m. those evenings in honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.
