Time Travel: A 1987 Play Celebrating City's History at the Centennial and a 1950 Clarksburg Snow Storm

By Dick Duez on January 14, 2018 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This photo from March of 1987 shows some of the individuals involved in various aspects of "The Bridgeport History Play - A Centennial Celebration" that was held at the Benedum Civic Center. The two show in the middle are, from left, Tracey Kunzleman and Jeff Foster. Back row, from left, are Duke Pratt, Lynette Graeber Renee Starkey Carole Wright, Adelaide Pence, Holly Williams and Roy Ehcard. If anyone has any memories of this event, feel free to comment below.
This photo is certainly appropriate for some of the recent weather in the area, although this is much more severe. Pictured is the aftermath of a storm that hit the area in 1950 and what is shown is Main Street in downtown Clarksburg and the Orphemum that is no longer in business. The I.O.O.F. sign is still there today.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
