For decades, the Bridgeport Fireman's Fair was one of the most popular events for the city residents as well as many well beyond the Bridgeport borders. This photo shows some of the activity in 1972. Feel free to share some of your memories in the comment section below.

This photo shows the Stealey Invitational taking place at the now closed Stealey Pool. The Invitational was one of the biggest youth swim meets in the state and teams from Bridgeport and well beyond visited Clarksburg for the event. It is believed this photo is from 2003 or prior.
