Time Travel: Bridgeport Fire Department's Fleet in 1958 and Notre Dame's High School Band Circa 1965

By Dick Duez on July 02, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The Bridgeport Volunteer Fire Department had an impressive amount of vehicles in its fleet when situated in the building on Main Street that started operations there in 1945. This photo was taken during 1948 and shows the emergency services vehicles in front of the building.
One of the longest-standing traditions in Harrison County, the state and across the country are marching bands. Pictured above is the 1965 Notre Dame High School marching band. If you know anyone, please add their names in the comment section below.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
