Time Travel: Bridgeport High School's 1969 Pep Club and Harrison County's Courthouse Construction

By Dick Duez on October 08, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

See anyone you know? If you were at Bridgeport High School in the late 1960s you might. This is taken from the 1969 Ki-Cu-Wa yearbook courtesy of Alice Rowe and shows the Bridgeport High School Pep Club. Pictured, front row from left, are Connie Noffsinger, Debbie Hooper, Jane Cropp, Becky Toothman, Polly Harbert, Annie Morton, Lisa Ryder, and Debbie Tucker. Second row, from left, are Patty Gainer, Cheryl Plum, Kathy Snider, Rebecca Preston, Carolyn Baltzer, Karen Green, Louis Douglas, Gwen Showalter, and teacher Elaine Teter. Third row, from left, are Sandy Williams, Debbie Yeater, Janet Ross, Peggy Green, Alexis Haass, Nancy Scott, Ann Durham, Marilyn Riffle, and Susie Morton. Fourth rown, from left, Elaine Goff, Toni Ringell, Nanci Clark, Terry Noffsinger, Debbie Toothman, Beth Walker, Doreen Foreen, and Carol Smith.
If the location of this structure looks familiar there's a good reason for it. These workers are helping construct, decades ago, the Harrison County Courthouse that stands today. This photo is on display in the office of Harrison County Circuit Judge Thomas Bedell.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
