Time Travel: Bridgeport Junior High School Football in 1978 and Glen Elk B&O Warehouse in Same Year

By Dick Duez on October 07, 2018 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

See anyone you know? This is the 1978 Bridgeport Junior High School football team as well as the cheerleaders. Many went on to do the same thing at Bridgeport High School. Feel free to identify anyone or share memories in below in this photo from Scott Nicewarner.
If this looks familiar it's because many can see roughly the same site today, minus the train to the left. This is from the Glen Elk section of Clarksburg and the old B&O warehouse that was destroyed is shown to the left. The depot, which still stands, is at the far right of the structure. This photo was also taken in 1978.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
"Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
