By Dick Duez on June 04, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Anyone remember this sign - and all of the names - that was situated at the bottom of Orchard for years? The location has been a prime spot for business, political and all types of signs for years. If you have any fond memories of any of the individuals mentioned, please feel free to add them to the comment section below.
These ladies are in their Sunday finest as they pose with a nun across the street from the Immaculate Conception Church in Clarksburg on Pike Street. The photo is from the 1930s. If anyone has information on this photo, please include it in the comment section below.
Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard "Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
