Time Travel: Origins of Main Street Restaurant and Men at a Harrison County Courthouse Hangout Spot

By Dick Duez on July 15, 2018 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This photo is back to the origins of a still popular Main Street restaurant. It is of T&L Hot Dogs and believed to be from around 1989 and it's still going strong nearly 35 years later.
Do you recognize any of these men hanging out at the Harrison County Courthouse? They're seated on the wall that still stands today in front of the Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson statue. A lot of stories were told and cigars were smoked by many of these men back in the day. Notice the Stonewall Jackson Hotel in the  background.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
"Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
