Time Travel: Some Key City Leaders from the 1970s and a Trip to an Old Drug Store in City of Salem

By Dick Duez on December 03, 2017 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

This photo shows the late Bridgeport Mayor Carl Furbee, fourth from left, along with what is believed to be a 1970s version of the Bridgeport City Council. Do you know those pictured and if this is, in fact, one of the city's past sitting City Councils? If so, feel free to comment in the section below.
This photo is of the old Woodruff’s Drug Store that was situated near the Alpine Theater in Salem. This photo was taken in the late 1950s. Does anyone remember these two businesses?

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
"Dick" Duez's collection. Duez, the unofficial historian of Bridgeport, would appreciate any scanned photos emailed to him for use here or to include in his ongoing efforts to preserve local history. You can email photos, or let him know how to acquire copies of photos you may have in your possession, to Duez at dick.do@frontier.com.
