Time Travel: Visting the Well-Known Green Parrot and a Stop at The Sheraton in Downtown Clarksburg

By Dick Duez on June 10, 2018 from History Blog via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Who remembers the Green Parrot? This photo shows one of the iconic area establishments that produced many memories. This photo of the exterior was taken in 1962. Feel free to comment on some of your thoughts of this location from years ago.
For decades, The Sheraton in downtown Clarksburg was a place that saw visitors stay at for decades before being turned into a state building office. Eventually, it was demolished and a new state building stands in its place today.

Editor's Note: This ongoing photo feature of pictures from Bridgeport and throughout the Mountain State is part of local historian Richard
