Buckhannon's Tammy Frederick to Assume Position of Registrar at WVWC

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on February 02, 2018 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

West Virginia Wesleyan College has appointed Tammy Frederick of Buckhannon as the new registrar, effective immediately. Frederick fills this position on the heels on Alice Creasman, who served the college in various roles for almost 40 years. Creasman began her registrar duties in 2001.

Frederick began working at Wesleyan in August 1989 as a staff assistant in the Learning Center and moved into Academic Advising in 1994. As a result of office reconfiguration, Academic Advising evolved into Academic Services/Registrar. Most recently, Frederick served as the Assistant Registrar.

As registrar, Frederick will maintain the academic records of all current and former students, plan and implement the class registration process, prepare the academic course schedule, determine students’ graduation eligibility, and serve various college councils.

“When this position opened up with the unexpected departure of Alice Creasman, I decided it was an opportunity and challenge for me professional to utilize my interest in technology to work toward moving the functionality of the office forward with new initiatives,” Frederick said.

Frederick is the mother of Casey, a current junior at WVWC, and is an avid sports fan and dog mom.
