The GFWC Woman’s Club of Bridgeport had as their monthly meeting a luncheon held at Eat N’ Park Restaurant Those attending were Terri Bracken, Linda Lemasters, Shirley Hadorn, Rene Starkey, Gay Jeffers, Lenore Hinkle, Cornelia Reep, Beverly Patrick, Charlotte Cathell, Anne Yost, Yvonne Gibson, Connie Moore, Carol Curtis, Eva Shearer, Lisa Waugh, Linda Rohrig-Helmick, Rita Miles, Sue Wilcox, Judy Osborn, Annabel Timms, Judy Lawson, Ruth Allen, and Co-Presidents, Brenda Swiger and Barbara Wilburn.

 

After lunch was served, a business meeting was held and plans were finalized for the Craft Show, to be held at the Benedum Civic Center, March 24^th from 10-4.  Easter Bunny will be present and available for photos. 

 

The club's Allied Health Card Party will also be held April 26 at the Benedum Civic Center from noon through 4 p.m. Proceeds will fund a $500 scholarship which is awarded annually to a senior at Bridgeport High School, pursuing a health profession.

 

A golf tournament will be held in June.  All proceeds from the tournament will be sent to St. Judes Children's Hospital. Details are still to be finalized. 

 

Co-President Barbara Wilburn and Brenda Swiger, urged members to attend State Convention to be held at The Greenbrier March 16 and 17.

 

The GFWC Woman’s Club of Bridgeport is open for membership.   Anyone interested in helping their community by volunteering to the many projects of the club, please contact any member.
