PHOTOS: Rapid Rainfall Results in High Waters, Flooding

Roads have been closed. Numerous residents and businessess have resported structural flooding. Area parking lots and city streets have been under water. According to Bridgeport Public Works Director Tom Brown, Simpson Creek had still not crested as of 9 a.m. Bridgeport VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) are out assessing high waters and damage. Many of the photos in this gallery have been taken by VIPS member Laura Pysz, CVB Director Michelle Duez and Parks & Recreation Director/Deputy Director Don Burton and Joe Shuttleworth.
