Stonewall Resort will host the “Glazed & Confused 5K/0.5K” – a zany run/walk event complete with donuts and beer – for the underachiever in all us on Saturday, Oct. 27. 

 

“This is somewhat of a ‘running joke’ (pun intended), but will certainly be great fun for all participants while offering a great excuse to get out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather and scenery here at Stonewall Resort,” said Chris Audia, marketing manager for Stonewall Resort.

 

The event features both a traditional 3.1-mile course as well as a more laid back half mile trek for those seeking somewhat less physical activity. There is no official timekeeping, so everyone’s a winner. And, pets are welcome.

 

The event is sponsored by Yuengling and will feature beer (as well as water) and donut stations along the course and at the finish line.  Participants are encouraged to wear their craziest get-up, to include any beer or donut-inspired costumes, and a prize for best costume will be awarded.

 

Tickets are just $30 and pre-registration is encouraged. Late registration is available at a cost of $35 on the day of the event, however, only check or cash will be accepted. Race check-in begins at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27. The official race start time is 11 a.m.
