Bridgeport to be Site of Free Wrestling Camp for Prep, Middle School Students Beginning Monday

For those who wrestle in the middle school and high school level, there may be a deal too good to pass up starting Monday. The local Training Traditions will be offering a free wrestling camp from July 8 through July 11.
 
The camp will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily and lunch will be provided. The location is the Training Traditions building and the address is 295 Ruffed Grouse Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330.
 
Those attending will have a chance to learn under some of the most prominent wrestling names in the area, including BHS wrestling coaches Chris and Ryan Courtney and the entire Courtney wrestling family.
 
Chris is the head coach and a former state champion and high school All-American. Ryan, the Indians’ assistant, is two-time state champion and was also a Division-II All-American in college. The other Courtney’s include Don who was a state champion and Jeff who was a member of the U.S. Greco Roman World Team, in the West Virginia Wrestling Hall of Fame, a former Dutton Award Winner, a two-time state champion and a high school All-American.
 
There will be plenty of others. Local chiropractor and former BHS coach Mike Mason will be on hand. Mason is a two-time NCAA Division-I All American with national championship credentials, as well as winning three state championships and earning high school All-American honors.
 
Joining those individuals will be Mark Samples, Edinboro team captain, D-I All-American and state champion among other honors. Chris Frieje, Fairmont State’s coach, who is a NCAA D-2 All-American and a conference champion, will participate. Jake Smith is a four-time NCAA Division-I qualifier and three-time Big 12 finalist along with being a two-time state champion who will lend expertise at the camp. Zeke Moisey is an NCAA Division I finalist and two-time NCAA Division-1 All American as well as a Pennsylvania state champion. And current WVU football strength and conditioning Coach Mike Joseph, a two-time West Virginia state champion, will be on hand.
