For those visiting Bridgeport who have already sampled the city's fare or those who are residents of the city and beyond looking for a trip for a new of different culinary experience, here's a recent edition of WDTV's Tasty Tuesday segment. And this one is a little more than 15 miles south of Bridgeport just off Interstate 79 in Lewis County.

If you like a place with good comfort food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and a place where you can hang out for a bit and bring your family, we've found that spot!

"If I have the stuff, I'll make it for you," said co-owner and chef Daniel Castro of Lightburns Family Diner in Jane Lew.

Castro has some of the best comfort food on the menu.

"Classic Philly Cheesesteak, stuffed french toast, this is just my take on it, classic fare chicken and waffles," Castro said, are some of the things on the menu.

"March 23rd will be 27 years I've been cooking."

Having worked at restaurants in Philadelphia and other cities, it was his wife who brought him to Jane Lew. Together only about a year and a half ago, they brought Lightburn's Family Diner to Lewis County.

"I'm not reinventing the wheel," Castro said. "I'm reinterpreting what I've learned and what I draw inspiration from."

They have classics like a BLT, but two of their specialty items are the omelets and the french toast.
