BHS Tennis Teams Ready for Regional Tournament at John Marshall

Three of the four singles players for the Bridgeport High School boys tennis team will be the No. 1 seed in their bracket at the Class AAA Region I tennis tournament at John Marshall High School.
 
The two-day event will take place on Thursday and Friday with spots in the state tournament on the line.
 
At each of the four regions in the state, the top four No. 1 singles, top three No. 2 singles, top two No. 3 singles, and top No. 4 singles player will advance in addition to the top three No. 1 doubles teams, top two No. 2 doubles teams and top No. 3 doubles teams.
 
The state tournament will take place May 12-14 in Charleston.
 
For the Indians, #1 singles Ty Gandy, #2 singles Paul Hong, and #4 singles Josh Jackson all earned the #1 seed for regionals.  Jacob Holbert earned the #2 seed in #3 singles.  In doubles, Elijah Daugherty and Holbert earned the #1 seed for #2 doubles, whereas the #1 doubles of Gandy and Hong, and the #3 doubles of Gregory Noone and Jackson earned the #2 seed.
 
Regional seedings for the BHS girls are as follows: #1 singles Ellie Hart and #2 singles Robey Holler both earned #4 seeds, #3 singles Presley Carlyle earned the #5 seed, and #4 singles Ella Sorine earned a #3 seed.  In doubles, Hart and Holler earned the #5 seed for the #1 doubles, the #2 doubles of Carlyle and Sorine earned the #4 spot, and the #3 doubles of Kylie Burke and Alana Chen earned the #3 seed.
