Major Delays Starting Monday on Interstate 79 South of City for Southbound Traffic Due to Lane Closure

FROM THE WEST VIRGINIA DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS
There will be a lane closure on Interstate 79 southbound, at mile marker 132 (South Fairmont), to mile marker 133 (Kingmont), from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, through Friday, June 9, 2023, for work crews to erect girders for phase II of the new Tygart River Bridge.
Expect major delays. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute.
Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
