Trio of Bridgeport Students among Six Recognized as Winners of Harrison County Young Writers Contest

At Tuesday’s Harrison County Board of Education meeting, six individuals were recognized for Superintendent Stutler and Board recognized the winners of the Harrison County Young Writers Contest.
 
Included in the group of students were a trio from Bridgeport. Simpson Elementary’s Lucia Rubi and Bridgeport High School’s Ellamy Dodd and Amelia Hughes were all honored. Other winners included Lucia Scalise of Saint Mary’s, Hattie Trimble of Big Elm, and Vincent Teeter of South Harrison Middle School.
 
The students received a gift bag and a certificate. They also have been invited to compete in at the state competition where winners will be announced May 5 at an event in Charleston.
