Goddard was recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in America in the 2022 Best Lawyers publication and was also named “Lawyer of the Year” in one practice category for the Morgantown geographic area.

Goddard was recognized as a “Best Lawyer” in various categories, including:

He has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America for his legal ability for over a decade.  Importantly, Best Lawyers in America is based purely on peer review from other lawyers.   Goddard has been recognized by other preeminent legal publications, such as Super Lawyers, Super Lawyers-Rising Stars, and Chambers Leading Lawyers for Business.  He also serves on the Character Committee for the State of West Virginia Board of Law Examiners.

Goddard Law is located at 7 Chenoweth Drive in Bridgeport and the firm focuses on representing clients who are victims of nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice, serious motor vehicle accidents, and other serious injuries and wrongful deaths.

“For over 20 years, I have had the pleasure of helping people who are dealing with difficult situations in their lives, and that matters more to me than any personal recognition I might receive,” said Goddard.

In addition to running a busy law firm, Goddard spends time with his beautiful family, including his wife, Aimee, and their four children ages 3 to 18.  Dave grew up in Bridgeport, graduating from Bridgeport High School in 1992, and he is proud to serve the people of North Central West Virginia.  He is a dedicated member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church where he serves as a member of the Deacon Board, teaches Sunday School, and helps as a sound technician.  Goddard has also served as a volunteer coach for his children’s sports teams over the years.
