Former Bridgeport High School standout and all-stater Ben McDougal had his stuff.  The sophomore lefthander was more than impressive as he delivered a no-hitter on an overcast Saturday afternoon, April 27, at Cecil College.

McDougal struck out sixteen Seahawk hitters as Potomac State won 5-0.  In fact he struck out at least two hitters in each of the seven innings.

"He really commanded three pitches today," said Potomac State Head Coach Doug Little.  "He was rarely behind in the count, and really finished strong."

McDougal did walk three but struck out the last five hitters to finish the game.

"I was able to mix pitches and work both halves of the plate," said McDougal.  "Maddox (Brooks) called a great game."  I think every time a pitcher starts, he tells himself he's going to pitch a no-hitter.  It's really cool that it just happened to me."

"Without God and my teammates, a game like this would not be possible. It's really easy when these guys have your back the whole time."

Tanner Haskiell's two-run double in the second inning gave PSC a 2-0 lead and all the run support McDougal would need.

Jimmy Sadler and Reilly Bubb each added an RBI.
