Former City Student, Son of Former JES Teacher, in Need of Financial Aid after Suffering Massive Stroke

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on April 19, 2024 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

A man who previously attended Bridgeport schools and whose mother was a teacher in the city school system needs help from his old community.

John Noffsinger, who attended Johnson Elementary School and the former Bridgeport Junior High School, in the 1960s and into 1970, recently suffered a massive stroke. Many may remember his mother who was a sixth-grade teacher at the former Johnson Elementary School.

Although the family ended up moving from the area as a result of the father being transferred for work purposes, the family still has an impact on the community. Each year, through an established college fund, seniors are awarded funds in John Noffsinger’s sisters’ name – Connie Noffsinger McEaddy.

Due to the stroke, John Noffsinger is unable to work, and the family is dealing with struggles that come with health situations of this nature. The family states that John is the primary income earned in the family.

If you would like to assist the family, a GoFundMe account has been set up. You can visit the site by clicking HERE.
