It's Happening: The Man-Woman; Mars-Venus Thing

By Julie Perine on August 03, 2014 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Mars – fourth rock from the sun.

It’s the planet named after a god of war.

It is where the highest known mountain in the Solar System exists.

Properties include a thin atmosphere and rough reddish appearance.

It’s a masculine planet, indeed.

Venus – closer to the sun and warmer; the namesake of a Roman goddess of love and beauty.

Next to the moon, it’s the brightest natural object in the sky, reaching its peak just before the sun rises and just after it sets.

Yep, no wonder it’s the planet associated with the female gender.

The whole “men from Mars,” “women from Venus” thing revolves around the vast differences between the sexes.

I’m no rocket scientist, but I sure know about the different thought processes.

Men – and I’m generalizing here – have a sense of pride about taking care of their households in a hands-on sort of way.

They want to be the one bringing home the bacon, fixing leaky faucets and servicing the autos.

Ok.

Don’t get your arrow tied in a knot. I said was speaking generally.

Men are physical creatures, reflected in their work, play and attraction to us Venus creatures.

They work toward the mark of respect in the highest sense.

Women, on the other hand, love for love – true, top-of-the-mountain love.

Pretty simple.

And you guys thought we were so complex.

Women feel more responsible for the core of their family’s health and welfare – things not so easily seen.

You know, stuff like keeping family peace, planting and nurturing self-esteem and mending broken hearts.

And we are creatures who talk.

A lot.

Next to godliness is conversation and communication – not cleanliness and housekeeping. What a silly myth.

At times, Mars can be as far from Venus as 222 million miles.

But there are instances when the planets are only 35 million miles apart.

It all depends upon elliptical orbit.

Here’s wishing you a rock-solid relationship, with plenty of room for understanding and compromise.

Then you’ll be closer to the one you love.
