Several from City among Multiple Students to Earn The Auxiliary to United Hospital Center Scholarships

The Auxiliary to United Hospital Center is pleased to award eight $2,000 plus two $1,000 scholarships to very deserving local students for the upcoming school year.  All students are pursuing careers in health care and are attending West Virginia schools and universities.  The students will be awarded these scholarships and may reapply each year for the scholarships if the requirements are met.    Four of these recipients received this scholarship in the final semester this past school year, so this is a continuing scholarship for them.  These students are:
 
Maci Cook, who is attending WVU.  Maci is a 2022 graduate of Bridgeport High School where she maintained a GPA of 4.12.  Maci is the daughter of Brian and Patti Cook of Bridgeport. 
 
Maci is pursuing a degree in Nursing.
 
Alexis Heflin, who is attending WVU. Alexis is from West Union, WV and is the daughter of Jason and Sanya Heflin.  Alexis is a graduate of Doddridge County High School. 
 
She is attending WVU where she is studying Music Therapy.
 
Madilyn Martin, who is attending Potomac State College WVU (Enrollment Services, 75 Arnold Street, Keyser, WV 26762) Madi is a graduate of Lincoln High School and is the daughter of Eric and Kathy Martin. 
 
She is majoring in Biology.
 
Ezra Myers, who is attending Shepherd University. Ezra is a 2022 graduate of Bridgeport High School, where he maintained a GPA of 3.973.  He is the son of Kevin and Sara Myers of Bridgeport. 
 
He is studying Chemistry at Shepherd University.
 
The new recipients of this scholarship are:
 
Emily J. (Richman) Bartlett, who is attending Pierpont Community & Technical College.  Emily was home schooled and graduated with a GPA of 3.8.  She is the daughter of David and Kelley Richman of Lost Creek. 
 
Her field of study is Radiologic Technology.
 
Mason B. Loss, who is attending West Liberty University.   Mason graduated from Lincoln High School with a GPA of 4.0. 
 
His mother is Megan Rowan and Mason’s field of study is Human Biology.
 
Gabrielle R. Parrish, who is attending Fairmont State University. She graduated from Lincoln High School with a 4.07 GPA.  She is the daughter of Brian P. and Kristy R. Parrish. 
 
Her field of study is Associate in Nursing.  
 
Madison Stallman, who is attending West Virginia University.  Madison graduated from Bridgeport High School with a GPA of 4.08.  She lives in Bridgeport and is the daughter of Robert D. and Libby Stallman. 
 
Stallman's field of study is Pre-Nursing.  
 
Two students will be receiving the $1,000 scholarships because they will be graduating in December, 2023 .  They are:
 
Stephanie Fultineer, who is attending West Virginia Junior College.  She is from Alum Bridge, graduated from Lewis County High School, and attended WVJC in Bridgeport. 
 
She is the daughter of Elizabeth Fultineer and is studying to be an RN.
 
Hailee Poling, who is also attending West Virginia Junior College.  She graduated from Philip Barbour High School with a GPA of 4.0.  Her parents are Jedd Schola and Misty Schola. 
 
Her plans are to become an RN.
