Vintage Theatre Co's Fearless Fools Take the Stage, Pay Tribute to Robin Williams

Vintage Theatre Company’s hilarious comedy troupe, The Fearless Fools, are set to return to the VTC Cabaret this Saturday for a southwestern themed evening of food and funny.

Founding Producer and Artistic Director Jason A. Young cordially invites audiences to celebrate the end of summer with The Fearless Fools at their "Hot E'nuff For Ya? Comedy Cantina!!"

In addition to a unedited, unrehearsed, and unabridged performance of The Fools unique blend of short form and long form improv comedy, the Comedy Cantina will feature a catered Cabaret Buffet by Liz Welch of Silver Spoon Catering.

“With local schools starting up again we wanted to have one more summer themed night of comedy at the VTC Cabaret,” said Young. “Liz Welch makes delicious food, so having her cater our buffet was a no brain decision.”

The catered Cabaret Buffet will include Spanish Chicken Sates, a Fresh Salsa Bar, Southwestern Pasta Salad, a Variety of Seasonal Vegetables with Avocado Ranch and more.

Doors open at The VTC Cabaret, located inside the Urchak Theatre at the Progressive Women’s Association’s Uptown Event Center in downtown Clarksburg, West Virginia at 6:30 p.m. for the catered buffet with The Fools show beginning at 8 p.m.

Reservations are required for this event. Only 70 tickets will be sold. All tickets are $20, or a reserved table of 7 can be purchased for $125.

Also, in tribute to this week’s loss of one of the most fearless and most foolish comedians ever, Robin Williams, and in the spirit of the great charity work he did with Comic Relief, The Fools will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to be donated to the Clarksburg Mission.

“We already had this event planned and reservations on the book when we learned of the untimely and tragic passing of Robin Williams,” said Young. “We didn’t want to offer ticket deals or anything like that because that would have been taking advantage of a horrible situation, but we wanted to give comedy fans who have been impacted by the life and work of Robin Williams an opportunity to respond in a way that we think is in keeping with his spirit.”

Comedy Cantina reservations can be made by calling the VTC Box Office at 1-855-VTC-8588 or emailing VintageTheatreCo@gmail.com.

The Comedy Cantina is intended for Mature Audiences

“We will offer walk-up ‘show only’ tickets for $10 beginning at 7:30p.” said Young. “But there are no reservations for those, to ensure you have a seat for the show, and you get to enjoy a delicious buffet you have to make a reservation.”
