Zach McCord Winner of First Nashville Dream Recording Contest

The votes are in. Bridgeport's Zach McCord is the winner of the first Nashville Dream Recording Contest. From an original pool of 200 contestants nationwide, McCord made the final cut to be one of the finalists vying for a $15,000 recording session at Dark Horse Recording in Nashville. A second round of voting started in mid-March and concluded at 7 p.m. March 31. At 7 p.m. today, April 1, Dark Horse revealed that McCord was the winner.
 
The breakdown was Zach McCord 8,872 votes; Scotty Butters, 8608 votes and Kayla and Emily, 2,236 votes. 
 
His prize package includes but is not limited to five days of recording time, engineered mixing and mastering and a professional photo shoot. McCord is a 2009 graduate of Bridgeport High School. He is currently a music performance major at Valley Forge Christian College. He is also a worship intern at LifePointe Church in Clarksburg and works summer camp at Malibu Club Young Life Camp. 
 
McCord and his parents Kim and Jay send their sincere appreciation for all the support received throughout the contest.
