By Trina Runner on May 08, 2016 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Some fall into the Millennial generation and some fall into the Generation X-ers, but all of the members of Generation Harrison are dedicated to promoting opportunities for those who are 21-40 years of age.  The group is part of Harrison County Chamber of Commerce and members focus on networking, community involvement, and professional development throughout the year.

On May 12, Generation Harrison will be sponsoring the 5th Annual Cocktails and Creations Charity Art Auction at the Bridgeport Conference Center.  Cocktails will begin at 5:30p.m. and a Dine-Around Dinner will begin at 6:00p.m.  Immediately following dinner, a live auction will take place to showcase the work of local artisans, including ArtWorks, Sam’s Crystal Creations, The Cultural Foundation, West Fork Pottery, Carolyn Light, Craig Wagoner, Gary Sias, Kelly Nardelli, Linda Elmer, Michael Pernell and Jeannine Romano.

Artists donate their pieces and the proceeds from the auction benefit the Harrison County YMCA Summer Day Camp.  Regional vendors will also have goods for sale at the event, which annually funds charitable programs as part of the Generation Harrison’s community service initiative.  In addition to the auction, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with the members of Generation Harrison and find out more about upcoming events with the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce.

Now in its 5th year, the group is hoping for a record crowd fueled by the energy of the live auction.  There will be live entertainment throughout the evening and tickets are available by contacting the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce at 304-624-6331.  Ticket prices are $45 per person or $500 for a Sponsor Table of eight.
