City Parks of Clarksburg have just announced that chart-topping and multi-platinum rock singer Austin John Winkler will be wrapping up the summer concert season with a special performance at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Saturday, September 17th, 2016.

Austin John was the lead singer of mega rock group Hinder from inception through late 2013 and is responsible for their chart topping rock hits “Get Stoned,” “Lips of an Angel,” “How Long,” “Better Than Me,” “Use Me,” and more.  After departing from the band and a brief hiatus, Winkler is back to support the release of his highly anticipated solo EP under the name Austin John entitled Love Sick Radio.

John Cooper, Superintendent of Parks, said, “This tour includes stops in Nashville and Houston, and we’re very excited to have the show come through Clarksburg. Having sold millions of albums and with so many rock hits under his belt, Austin’s solo tour will not be one to miss.” Cooper added, “He’ll be performing several of his new solo tracks mixed in, of course, with Hinder favorites.”

Opening this show will be upcoming hard rockers Through Fire, whose 2016 single “Stronger” has reached the No. 4 position on Billboard’s Heatseekers, #1 on iTunes, as well as #1 on Sirius XM’s Octane. Through Fire has been compared to the likes of Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Skillet and Breaking Benjamin.

This event is presented by the City Parks of Clarksburg and welcomed by 100.1 WCLG. Tickets for this show go on sale at 10am on Tuesday, August 16th and are expected to sell quickly. There is no pre-sale scheduled for this event.
