At the Regional Thespian Festival held earlier this month at Fairmont Senior High School, the Bridgeport High School Thespian Troupe 7549 received a number of awards. A first place superior rating for the short film, "Out of Place" was earned by Owen Hess; Demi DiPiazza, Sarah Wright, Nick Allen and Ariana Foster were named to the All-Festival Cast for the "Elephant's Graveyard" band; Meagan Hutcheson and Morgan Sprouse were recognized as supporting performers and Tyler Eakle and Hannah Randolph were recognized as outstanding performers. Bridgeport's one-act play received first place and will advance to the state competition.
