Bridgeport Middle School scored straight superior ratings on day two of the Region 10 Band Festival. The BMS Band performed before a trio of adjudicators at Bridgeport High School, leading off the second day of the WVSSAC event. BMS performed two Grade Level 3 selections from the West Virginia Bandmasters Graded Music List (1, least difficult and 6, most difficult). The rating is the overall average score received by three different adjudicators for a band’s performance of two selections, said Michael Ford, Region 10 Band Festival director.

 

Also receiving I - superior - ratings Thursday were Suncrest Middle School, Westwood Middle School, Preston High School and West Fairmont Middle School. (See all results below: RCB site, followed by BHS site.) 

 

On Wednesday, the Bridgeport High School Symphonic Band also received straight superior ratings. The high school band, too, performed at BHS. Robert C. Byrd High School also served as a host site both days.
