Bridgeport's Kash Kiefer Part of Good Morning America's "10 Dates in 10 States;" Skyping in Friday Morning as Live Guest

UPDATE; Kiefer was seen via Skype this morning on the Pittsburgh-based ABC show "Good Morning America." His date with Producer Erica Scott was seen in the footage of the date series. He did not win the Valentine's Day date with the ABC producer Erica Scott. Her Wyoming date, who took her on a dog sledding adventure, was chosen. Kiefer said it was all a lot of fun and he's glad he took part.
Still working at the Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub and running his own Yogurtland, Kash Kiefer will Skype in to be a live guest on Friday's episode of “Good Morning America.”
“I don’t know if it will be for two seconds or a couple minutes – or if you’ll even see me,” said Kiefer, a member of the Bridgeport High School Class of 2004.
Regardless of his live guest appearance, Kiefer will be featured in the morning show’s “10 Dates in 10 States” segment. Just last weekend, he took ABC producer Erica Scott on a date – in Nevada, of course.
“We went dune buggying and it was really fun,” said Kiefer about the pair’s Sun Buggy adventure on the Las Vegas Speedway.
Despite the fun he and Scott shared, Kiefer can’t take credit for the date idea.
“It was all set up,” he said.
The series is a dating experiment - taking a look at dating in today’s age with a focus on the first date and couple chemistry.
“It’s not like it was 30 years ago,” Kiefer said. “Now it has a lot to do with social media, online and all that.”
Kiefer’s date was old-school as he was actually fixed up on the date with Scott through a friend.
“I got a message from a guy I used to play football with. He was actually the punter at the University of Delaware,” Kiefer said. "He said his sister was a producer on ‘Good Morning America’ and asked if I was still in Vegas.”
Kiefer agreed to participate in the segment – which is timely as this weekend is Valentine’s Day. It was all very last-minute.
“I was literally contacted the day before and (Erica Scott) was in 10 different states in 10 days. She flew in here around 8:30 p.m. and I met her for like two hours, then she caught another flight,” Kiefer said. “Tonight she was in New Orleans and yesterday she was in Chicago.”
Kiefer doesn’t know if Scott is choosing a best first date – or what will transpire when he Skypes in at 5 a.m. Pacific Time, 8 a.m. Eastern Time. (The segment is going to air around 8:35-8:40 a.m. ET). He may be in the company of guys who took Scott on other dates – which ranged from two-stepping in Texas to paddle boarding and ice skating.
“I have no clue what it’s going to be like,” he said.
Each of Scott’s 10 dates were set up online, by a friend or colleague or through a date app.
Kiefer hasn’t done any TV work in a while. In the past, he was featured on the CMT date show “Sweet Home Alabama," the FOX match show, "Take Me Out," the MTV game show “Baggage," National Geographic Channel's "Brain Games" and had a cameo appearance on Katie Perry’s “Last Friday Night” video. He’s done a lot of modeling and traveling and is always looking for new opportunities.
