Celebrity Tribute Show "Legends in Concert" to Highlight WVU Family Weekend Oct. 7-8

Legends in Concert, the world’s greatest live celebrity tribute show, kicks off its first national performing arts center tour next month. The show will pay tribute to Prince, Cher, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Aretha Franklin and the Blues Brothers™ for two nights at the WVU Creative Arts Center. Performances are scheduled for Oct. 7 and Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m. during West Virginia University’s Fall Family Weekend. Tickets are on sale now at the Mountainlair and CAC box offices and online at Ticketmaster.com.  
 
Legends in Concert is the longest-running show in Las Vegas. This is the first time in the show’s 33-year history that Legends in Concert, is touring premiere theaters across the country. This production features world-renowned tribute artists, a live band, talented singers and dancers, lavish theatrical sets, and authentic costumes.
 
“It’s not just the stunningly similar appearances to the superstars; it’s also the pitch-perfect live vocals and signature choreography that make up the complete winning package,” says Robin Leach, of “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.”
 
The tour’s incomparable cast will deliver the ultimate feel-good experience while paying homage to the legendary Prince and his incredible catalogue of hits, including “Purple Rain” and “Kiss.”  Fans will “Believe” they are turning back time with a sensational tribute to Cher and Aretha Franklin fans will enjoy a performance fit for the “Queen of Soul” that includes renditions of “Chain of Fools” and “ Respect.” 
 
Live recreations of Sir Elton John’s crowd favorites “Crocodile Rock” and “Rocket Man” will have audiences singing along, and there will also be a phenomenal tribute to “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen. The entire musical experience will be hosted by an extraordinary tribute to the Blues Brothers™.
 
Tickets for Legends in Concert start at $44. WVU Student tickets are $23. The WVU Student discount is only available at the campus box offices. WVU Students must present a valid WVU ID and are limited to one discounted ticket per valid WVU ID.
