The City Parks of Clarksburg has announced chart-topping Christian hip hop/pop megastar TobyMac is set to perform at the Clarksburg Amphitheater on Friday, August 9, 2019. 

 

TobyMac was first known for being a member of the platinum-selling and genre-melding Christian trio dc Talk, and has since continued a successful solo career with the release of seven studio albums – five of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Christian chart.

 

Now with 7 GRAMMY® Awards, 6 Gold Records, 2 Dove Artist of the Year awards and numerous other accolades to his name, TobyMac will be performing at The AMP fresh from his HITS DEEP tour. This special tour has featured TobyMac headlining arena shows across the country with several sold out dates in front of over 10,000 fans per night.

 

Between dc Talk and his own solo career, TobyMac has sold more than 10 million albums to date. He has charted 20 solo songs on Billboard’s Christian Songs list and is known for his No. 1 hits “Me Without You”, “Get Back Up”, “Made to Love”, “City on Our Knees” and 2018’s “I Just Need U.”

 

TobyMac’s music often crosses genre lines and has even crossed over into mainstream at times. The NFL Network, ESPN, Fox Sports Channel and even WWE have featured his music over the years. He was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift.

 

John Cooper, Superintendent of Parks, said, “We’re very excited to have the opportunity to bring an artist of this caliber to our amphitheater. It’s a bit of a new genre for us, and this concert will be a very special night for the area.”

 

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 9. Advance tickets will be available by visiting www.ClarksburgAMP.com or by calling 866.973.9610. Advance tickets will be $40 for general admission, $50 for reserved seating and $55 for premium seating, which will include the first seven rows from the stage. Day-of-Show tickets will increase $5 for each section and will be available at the venue unless they sell out prior to the event.
