From "The Voice" to WVWC: Swon Brothers to Appear in Concert Sept. 9

The Swon Brothers, with opening acts The Railers and Caroline Glaser, will take the stage Saturday, September 9 at 7:45 p.m. in the John D. Rockefeller IV Physical Education Building on the Buckhannon campus.  Doors open at 7 p.m.
 
The Swon Brothers are an American country music duo from Muskogee, OK, consisting of Zach and Colton Swon.  In 2013, they finished in third place on the fourth season of NBC's The Voice, the firstduo to make it from the top 12 live shows to the season finale.  They signed a recording contract with Arista Nashville after appearing on The Voice andreleased a single, "Later On," in December 2013, the first single from their self-titled album released on October 14, 2014. They debuted the single on The Voice the same day, selling 23,000 copies in its debut week.  In January 2016, they released the EP Timeless and opened for Carrie Underwood's STORYTELLER tour in January 2016.
 
The Railers of Nashville, TN combine air-tight harmonies and earthy instrumentation using mandolin, violin, concertina, and acoustic guitar and percussion to bring each venue to their feet.  The groups melts their energetic songs with classical, groundbreaking styles of the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Dixie Chicks, Nickel Creek, and Bonnie Raitt, leaving audiences with an undeniable sound and unforgettable live show.
 
Appearing on season 4 of The Voice, Caroline Glaser is a Nashville-based artist with two albums, Better Days, Vol. 2 and a self-titled album that released in 2016.  Learn more about Glaser at www.carolinglaserofficial.com.
