FROM THE CITY OF CLARKSBURG

 

Leaders from FirstEnergy and the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center came together at the theater’s construction site Monday afternoon to recognize and accept a major contribution to the theater’s capital campaign.

 

The FirstEnergy Foundation has donated $25,000 to the Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center. This outstanding contribution will help to complete the renovation efforts and provide operational funding for the theater when its doors open in late summer of this year. While the theater’s doors have been closed for the last 10-years, it’s first events date back to 1913. This historic theater will see new life soon, thanks to the support of the FirstEnergy Foundation.

 

The fully-renovated and restored theater will play host to many events for entertainment, corporate functions, social gatherings, and community-related activities. Progress is moving right along, with visible changes taking place on a daily basis. The soft-opening is expected to be held in early August 2018. The Grand Opening will follow in October 2018.
