Rev up your engines and drive out to Stonewall Resort on Saturday, August 5, for an afternoon of classic cars and souped-up musical entertainment during the Summer Knights “Cruise-In” Car Show from 3-6 p.m.  The event is being presented by Walmart and is sponsored by the Stonewall State Park Foundation.

Samantha Norris, community outreach director at Stonewall Resort said, “This is always a fun and popular event where visitors will enjoy a wide variety of special interest cars, antiques, classics, street rods and street machines. Guests will also enjoy great music by the De’Ja’Vu Band.”

Norris said Summer Knights was formed as a non-profit, drug and alcohol free organization in 1986 to bring together car enthusiasts in central West Virginia. The event will take place around the Roanoke Activity Plaza within Stonewall Resort State Park.

The De’Ja’Vu Bandwill perform throughout the event, taking the audience on a retrospective journey to an era of poodle skirts, juke boxes, AM radio, and the '57 Chevy. The band will perform the classic sounds of the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs. Food and drink items will be available for purchase at the event.

“We hope the public will come out, bring the entire family and enjoy this fantastic day of entertainment at Stonewall Resort,” Norris concluded.

There is a $5 per car admission fee to enter Stonewall Resort State Park on August 5. Once inside the park grounds, there is no cost to attend the car show.
