Stonewall Resort to Host Week-Long 4th of July Celebration Featuring Two Fireworks Displays

Featuring a full week (June 28-July 7) of activities and events, to include two amazing firework displays over the lake on Sunday, June 30th and Sunday, July 7th, as well as the Big Timber Brewing “Axtravaganza” on Saturday, July 6th,  Stonewall Resort’s Fourth of July Week Celebration offers a fun and relaxing getaway for the whole family, whether staying overnight or just visiting for the day.
 
“From boating, biking and hiking to golfing, games, music and two firework shows, Stonewall’s Independence Week Celebration offers the perfect summer escape for adults and children alike,” said Andre’ D’ Amour, Stonewall Resort General Manager.  “Guests will enjoy our newly remodeled lodge rooms and interior spaces, as well as the redesigned TJ Muskies Bar & Grill.”
 
D’Amour said a multitude of activities are on tap daily throughout the week and include hayrides, outdoor movies, guided nature hikes and Segway tours.  Guests can explore the lake’s coves and fingers on kayaks, paddleboards and canoes, or enjoy a motorized excursion by renting a pontoon boat or one of the CraigCat personal watercraft. The Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course is in great shape and tee times are available. And, live music will be offered throughout the week. Artists scheduled to perform include: John Henry, Dustin McCray and DJ Gen Pop.
The Big Timber Brewing “Axtravaganza” will take place on Saturday, July 6th and feature both an hour-long cruise on the lake as well as eight Big Timber beers available for purchase on the Stillwaters Patio from 3-11 p.m.. At 5 p.m., a skydiver will parachute from 5,000 feet, circle the resort lodge, and land near the Stillwaters patio. Live music will be provided by John Henry and DJ Gen Pop, and food will be available for purchase.
 
The hour-long Brew Cruise will take place from 2-3 p.m. on Little Sorrel, the resort’s 100-passenger lake excursion boat.  Staff from Big Timber Brewing will be on hand to discuss the art of beer making and answer questions.  Guests will receive two pints of Big Timber specialty beers.  The cost is $15 per person and reservations are required and can be made by calling (304) 269-8880.
 
Firework shows will start at approximately 9:45 p.m. on both Sunday, June 30th and Sunday, July 7th, and guests are encouraged to arrive early.  There is a $10 per vehicle charge to enter the park.
